Lecture on Osteoarthritis

Dear friends, we invite you to a lecture on osteoarthritis, which will take place on January 30, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the BMC SAV Physical Activity Center at the Institute of Virology.

HOW DO YOU GET HERE?

By car:

From Brno (from Záhorie):

Fromthe D2 (E65) highway, takethe “Bratislava-Polianky” exit toward “Centrum, Patrónka.” Passing the TESCO supermarket on your left, you will reach Lamačská cesta.

FromRoad No. 2, you can easily reach Lamačská cesta by passing the TESCO supermarket.

From Lamačská cesta, turn right at the first intersection onto Dúbravská cesta (near the IBM building). From there, enter the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) grounds by going straight through the roundabout. Once inside the SAV complex, take the first right toward the northwest end of the SAV grounds, heading toward the Institute of Virology. The new Medical Sciences Pavilion is located on the right-hand side just before the Institute. The Institute of Medical Sciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (ÚMFG SAV) is located in Block B.

From the direction of downtown Bratislava (from the Danube Lowlands):

Fromthe D1 (E58, E75) highway, take the exit in Bratislava-Petržalka to join the D2 (E65) highway toward “Brno”. From the D2 (E65) highway, take the “Lafranconi” exit at the Lafranconi Bridge toward “Mlynská dolina.” Drive through Mlynská dolina until you reach the “Patrónka” intersection. At the intersection, turn left toward “Brno.”

Fromthe center of Bratislava, head out of town toward “Brno” along Pražská and Brnenská streets. You will reach the “Patrónka” intersection. At the intersection, continue straight toward “Brno”.

After the Patrónka intersection, turn left at the first intersection onto Dúbravská cesta (in front of the IBM building). From there, go straight through the roundabout into the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) campus. Once inside the SAV complex, take the first right toward the northwest end of the SAV grounds, heading toward the Institute of Virology. The new Medical Sciences Pavilion is located on the right side in front of it. The Institute of Medical Sciences (ÚMFG) is located in Block B.

By other means (train, bus, public transportation):

From the Main Train Station:

Walk to “Predstaničné námestie”. At Predstaničné námestie, board bus no. 21.
Get off at the “Mokrohájska” stop (it is the first stop after the “Patrónka” stop). On the other side of the road you came from, behind the small grove, is the new building of the Pavilion of Medical Sciences. Cross the street at the crosswalk, then walk along the path through the small grove; behind the grove, next to the Pavilion of Medical Sciences, is the gate to the SAV campus. The UMFG SAV is located in Block B of the Pavilion of Medical Sciences; the secretariat is on the second floor.

From the Mlynské nivy bus station:

Take bus No. 21. See above for further instructions.

By public transportation from other parts of Bratislava:

Take bus No. 21, 22, 30, 34, 38, or 83. See above for further instructions.

Take bus no. 25, 37, 63, 92, or 192, or trolleybus no. 211 or 212. Get off at the “Patrónka” stop. From there, transfer to bus No. 21, 22, 30, 34, 38, or 83. See above for further instructions.

Take bus No. 36. Get off at the Dúbravská cesta stop, which is right next to the Medical Sciences Pavilion. The Institute of Medical Sciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences is located in Block B of the Medical Sciences Pavilion; the secretariat is on the second floor.
